Improvements in our Vitamin and Supplement Injections
B12 + Lipotropics
$20 each (4 for 60)
Our Lipo-vite is now fortified with B12. In this vitamin cocktail are compounds that enhance liver function and increase the flow of fats and bile from the liver and gallbladder. By definition, a lipotropic substance decreases the deposit, or speeds up the removal of fat within the liver. The key amino acids used to make these shots are: Vitamin B12, Methione, Inositol, and Choline.
· Methione is one of the sulphur-containing amino acids (cysteine & cystine are others) and is important for many bodily functions. It acts as a lipotropic agent to prevent excess fat buildup in the liver and the body, is helpful in relieving or preventing fatigue and may be useful in some cases of allergy because it reduces histamine release.
· Inositol, a nutrient belonging to the B vitamin complex, is closely associated with choline. It aids in the metabolism of fats and helps reduce blood cholesterol. Inositol participates in the action of serotonin, a neurotransmitter known to control mood and appetite.
· Choline supports the health of the liver in its processing and excretion of chemical waste products within the body. Moreover, it is required for the transport and metabolism of fats and cholesterol within the body, which is important for the healthy support of the endocrine, cardiovascular and hepatic systems.
Super B, MIC, plus L-Carnitine
$25 each (4 for$75)
This blend is the same as the B12 with Lipotropics, but with B6 and an extra additive: L-Carnitine. This amino acid may help increase fat burning, increase energy levels and decrease appetite and may help build muscle mass. This injection is also promising for those stuck in a plateau or beginning to show signs of gaining weight.
L Carnitine
L-Carnitine is primarily involved with transporting long-chain fatty acids from the cell cytosol into the mitochondria. Since long chain fatty acids are oxidized (burned) in the mitochondria, L- Carnitine facilitates production of energy from fat. Oxidation (combining with oxygen) of the BCAAs is facilitated by L- Carnitine, providing a link between protein catabolism and cellular energy. Skeletal muscle contains 90% of total body carnitine in humans.
L-Carnitine's Function during Aerobic Exercise:
· Helps Increase Fat Metabolism
· Increases Endurance
· Improves Definition
· Increases Utilization of Fatty Acids as Energy
· Decreases Lactate Build Up
